Start with your concern
Describe what you notice and what you hope to understand. You do not need to arrive with the name of a procedure. Ask the clinician what the examination shows and which aspects a treatment could or could not address.
Compare the choices
Ask why one approach is being proposed, what alternatives exist and what happens if you choose no treatment. If a product or device is involved, confirm the exact name, purpose and relevant limitations.
Discuss risk and recovery
Ask about the more common reactions and the less common complications that could need care. Confirm what symptoms should prompt contact, how follow-up works and who to contact after returning home.
Leave with a clear plan
Before agreeing, make sure you understand the proposed procedure, alternatives and practical arrangements. Keep written instructions from the clinic. A website or a chat alone cannot replace the examination and consent discussion.
